Wow.... this episode was pretty nice. So is Barlett dead? Limann (sp?) and the guy played by Smitts would be awesome if it happends.
I sure do hope they keep the same actors for next season... they are an awesome bunch.

I never get to see it this season since I am at school.

I will grab all the episodes off of BT next week when I go home.

crap it was last night. i'm not really a big watcher of that show but i wanted to see the conclusion of the press finding out he is got MS, and ohh about the asteroid

Yeah I watched it. I don't think he is dead. I don't care for how they wrote Donna out of the series. I don't care for Smitts...but it looks like that is who they are going to use for the next president if the series continues. I've always liked Alda. MASH was and still is one of my favorite series.

There might be a republican president next season which would suck because I really like that Smitts guy... great actor.
Sad to see Jed go... he was a great president.
BTW, that NASA dude was pretty funny: "I once loved another man... I never told him though"... lol

I think this season so far is much better than last season. I almost stopped watching it last year. Gary Cole always makes me think of the Brady Bunch movie, so I'll take Matheson, Smits or Alda.

I savor the writing behind West Wing, but the plot lines get a little crazy.

I'm thinking they have 1 season left and they just jumped the shark.

Loved the scene where Leo said, "Well, we're it." Referring to the "smoke filled back room" selection of political candidates.

so how did they write Donna off? and why did they get rid of her character?

and the Pres is dead huh? THe VP's in charge? who's the new vp?

Yep, the writing is crazy. The acting is amazing too... they really deserved all the awards they got. The plot sort of went downhill after the main writer quit (Aaron Sorkin??)

But I really don't like how CJ took the job from Leo... she just didn't fit into that role too well. They should have taken someone else. I hope Sheen stays on for the next season, atleast as a supporting actor, he did an amazing job and I don't see how they can capture the same drama they did without him. I also think that the rest of the cast shouldn't be written off as well.

BTW, the episode where the suicide bomber in Palestine killed congressmen seemed as if the writers were taking a serious swipe at Bush administration when Bartlett refused to order an attack

Why don't they put a republican as president, like in real life? Oh do I even have to ask lol...

They just might, I read an interview with the writer on CNN or something a while back and he said that they are considering that.

Donna just quit. Dunno if the prez is dead... the episode ended with a stretcher going into the prez's room in Airforce 1. But if he did die, what a way to go out.. brilliant writing.

They didn't write her off. She quit, but she will still be part of the show.

In short, Leo got a heart attack at camp david and he picked CJ as his successor.
