monarchcomputer.com sells the msi for 107 not including shipping which is pretty cheap. i'm wondering if anyone bought from them before. usually i try to steer clear from companies that sell stuff much cheaper than other stores, but their reseller ratings seem decent.

Yeah, I noticed this about a week and a half ago, but I haven't ordered yet. I am looking to buy a barebones system, and to me monarch and mwave seem like my best bets. Both are very cheap, have combos, and have good ratings a resellerratings.com. Mwave only offers the Pro2 while monarch offers the Pro2a, but to me, it doesn't really make much of a difference because I do not really need ata/100 at this point.

I have been looking at the AMD / Mother-board comobs at monarchcomputer.com. In particular,
I was looking at the Duron 800 / MSI Pro2-A combo for $224.00 before shipping. I was also
questioning their decent prices and shipping. My question to them was whether the cpu and
mother-board come retail box. The mother-board is retail box and the cpu is oem. The mother
board comes with a 1 year warranty and the cpu comes with a 3 year warranty. When buying the
combo package they do setup and test so that it will be ready to run when you receive it.
As stated eralier, a lot of people did rate them. Looks like I will go ahead and order....:D

Losty:
According to most of the people on this forum the MSI K7T Pro2-A is supposed to be the best Socket A motherboard out now. Read some other threads and check out peoples opinions. I am definately getting this board very very soon.

I've bought two systems from them and everything went great. They don't have much tech support though. If they can't help you they do refer you to the hardware manufacturer of the questioned component.
