You've all seen the infomercials. You can make perfect pancakes with this dual-frying pan deal.

Has anyone bought this thing? Does it work well? i LOOOOOVE pancakes and if this Perfect Pancake thing works, i'll buy one.

What are people's experiences?

Did the perfect pancake / pancake magic thing come with any freebies?

my friends mom got it, and how they show them flipping the thing over, well when you do it in reality, the pancake batter leaks out, and it really doesnt work that great at all. i am suprised that all those infomercial people arent busted for false advertising.

Don't you have to continue cooking after you flip it? The commercial shows them flipping it and then immediately dumping it to a plate. Before they flipped it, the batter wasn't cooked on the top.

I don't have the patience for such a device, especially since it only makes a single pancake at a time. If you can't make a simple pancake, then you should stay away from the kitchen.

yeah, you have to cook the other side until brown, or however you like it.

How hard is it to take some pancake batter and make a pancake? Heat your skillet to 265 - 300, a little bit of oil on the skillet, drop about 1/4c - 1/3c batter . When you see bubbles, flip it.

you don't need oil for the PP maker. and it's all about convienence (sp?) not whether or not one can make pancakes in a regular skillet.

EDIT: damn, i really sound like an infomercial. :p
