www.pcinfinity.net and www.ibuypower.com have some pretty good deals. Has anyone bought through them? There were two threads on ibuypower and it seemed people said they were reliable but I'm wondering about infinity since the computers are slightly cheaper. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I would never purchase from pc infinity... Resellerratings.com

Here is a comment, also from Resellerratings.com, about ibuypower -

"I have ordered from this company 3 times and until my order in January I have not had a problem. Then I ordered 6 copies of Corel 10 OEM and only received three, as well as one system had a dead modem. I called several times before I could understand anyone to speak with. I finally was told they knew that modem was bad and would send another type at no cost. They also said they would send the additional 3 copies of software- neither has ever arrived. They also told me they needed my CC# to validate for shipping. I called and gave my business card number. The same day it was used from LA California (close to where they are located) to call a scam phone number in China. The card had not been used three weeks before this order and I had not used it for anything else. Just chance? - I think not. I will NEVER go back. Be VERY cautious about giving out your CC# to anyone at the company. If you should decide to use them go through the web and keep a GOOD record of your spending on your CC#."

And here is the most recent comment about PCUSA -

"I am buying tons of equipment online and this was the worst expreience I've ever had.
PCUSA is using unfair practices in order to get customers.
The grand total of my purchase was $504 and they make me believe that shipping is free. Now once they've got my credit card number they generously billed $53 more.

I send them an email and the response I've got was extremely arrogant.

I can't believe this is happening. In these times of fierce competition I could choose better reseller.
I hope they go out of business soon with all other cheaters who undermine the Internet economy.

NO MORE PCUSA!"

Yeah I finally got a hold of that site and saw their ratings. I won't be getting a pc through them. Do you guys know any good small cheap reliable vendors?

Let's start a chant:

newegg, newegg, newegg, newegg...

Seriously though; if you can find what you need on newegg.com (which should be no problem considering their massive inventory) then buy from them. Cheap, reliable, and good customer service if you need to call them. Newegg is one of the, if not the, best online vendors. Need more assurance, check out resellerratings...

Yeah they seem great but don't they just sell parts? I want to configure a computer and have them make it for me; I don't want to build my own.

I personally like Cyberpower PC. They've been reviewed in many magazines. They are a small company, but the prices are great! I thought ibuypower were the lowest, but not anymore. ABS is overpriced, while Nutrend doesn't have the selection. Go with a computer company if your not buying parts (i.e. not newegg).

Envision Computer Solutions.

An excellent company. I got my computer from them recently. The support is outstanding, the staff is friendly. While I was selecting the parts for my computer, I maintained an email conversation with Todd (the main sales guy) and e helped me greatly. His responses were honest and on the money all the time. For example, he suggested I buy a Maxtor HD instead of IBM because recently they saw a lot of problems with IBM Deskstars. Now, IBM costs more than Maxtor. He also told me NOT to purchase a sound card until I listened to the onboard sound. He is willing to lose some money just so you can be satisfied with your purchase. Not only were his answers excellent, he also replied to my questions within minutes.

Envision CS is currently #4 on resellerratings.com (highest rating for a system builder, not just a parts reseller) with 283 reviews, and #1 on A+ Rankings with over thirty reviews. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase so far, and I believe you too will be pleased if you check that company out. http://www.envisioncs.net/

I have also heard good things about CyberPower PC. The prices were also pretty good the last time I checked, which was a few months ago when I heard someone else in these forums recommend them. I would at least give them a look.

I ordered a server case from ibuypower earlier this week, but afterwards found that I needed to cancel the order (it was within a couple of hours). I called their number, and kept getting recordings that told me their office hours (which, by the way, I called during). I kept pressing 0 to get to an operator, but I kept getting a "please call back during our normal business hours" (according to my watch, they had 4 hours left to go in their normal business hours). I sent them an e-mail, and got no reply. I sent them another one and cc'd every address on the site, still nothing. What's the deal with these people???
