I'll find out in about 10 minutes, final round just started. He is in the lead with around 30k.

I see no end in sight. I wonder if in the past there had ever been anyone more dominant, but was capped by the 5-day limit.

They prerecord the shows a long time in advance right? I wonder if he's sitting at home right now reading our posts or ordering stuff online from his suite next to the studio with his play money.

I'm sure they're all under NDC anyways, but I seriously want to know how much longer he can go! Wonder if he'll just go back to his job after this...

could it be possible that he is STILL playing to this day? even if they filmed the one recently aired a few months ago?

Probably.

I think after awhile, Jeopardy would hire a genius to beat him for one night.

He isn't.

Jennings' Jeopardy! streak is over, though viewers may not realize it. The Jeopardy! episodes featuring him were taped in February, and Jennings is back home in Utah, though he is refusing comment for now.

Jeopardy takes breaks in he summer time. It still is possible that he's still on.

That's why it explicitly says that his streak is over.

The streak is over but they don't say how long the streak lasted. The article is a little misleading by making it seems like his streak ended at 16 when he he still won last night.

Oh..you mean still going on now , as in on TV. I thought you meant that he might stil literally be on (as in not having lost yet).

Watching him, there do appear to be chinks in his armor. I have seen people hang close to him in the first round (though he invariably pulls away), and he occasionally seems to get excited and buzz in, only to realize he doesn't know the answer, make rather uninspired guesses.

Still, he is really freakishly good at the game, and I could imagine him playing for a LONG time. He genuinely seems to be enjoying it, he stays very composed for the most part, and he combines incredible knowledge with an apparently high level of intelligence (he is usually very good at guessing things even when he clearly doesn't know the answer). He's a pretty extraordinary guy, I must say.
