the non-Seafood buffer at Rio is so-so... I tried it twice and I would rank it below Caesaer Palace and Monte Carlos.

humm.. so I guess my choices are either Aladdin, Paris or Mirage. (and Belliagio if i win the jackpot)

once again, Sahara has lobster, crab legs, shirmp (not sure about oyster) at a fairly low price. the place just looks ghetto that's all.

I will be heading Vegas TONIGHT!

oh I heard the Steakhouse inside Circus Circus is VERY underrated and is supposed to be top-notch.
though I don't want to eat there coz of all those screaming kids and pedophiles in clown suits.

I had several buffets when I was there, and the one that stood out was the Sunday Brunch at the Aladdin. It was awesome...yummm

so any runner-ups?

I tried Monte Carlo and Caeaer Palace, Monte Carlo's was a bit better despite their lack of sea food.
Sahara has lots of seafood, but the atmosphere and environment is a bit sub-par.

after tip? who do you tip for the buffet?

Pretty much any buffet with the word Station in it. It isn't nothing fancy but it has your basic salad bar, hot food, and desert/ice cream for like $10 or so.

The Palms also has good buffets.

I have been very disapointed with the Sahara.
Station Casinos are OK.

Main Street station (not related to Station) is good.

The Stratosphere has a good seafood buffet (Fri).
Castaways has a steak & lobsters on Sat now.

Most Seafood buffets will run at about $20 per head unless you are at the fany casinos ($100+ nights).
Non Seafood nights will be from $10-15
The Seafood buffets are usually on Wed or Fri nights.

Better value when you get away from the strip.

I was out there a month ago.

The best buffett was Sunday brunch at the Alladin. Great selection, pretty good tasting, and all the champagne you wanted. It was $16.99 I think. The Orleans is also a great buffett and usually cheaper than the strip ($6.99 maybe for lunch). You can get a free shuttle from Barbary Coast. Lots of options and they all tasted pretty good. Had lunch at Bally's and wasn't all that impressed.

if you visit http://www.a2zlasvegas.com they have viewer comments on all the buffetts. Left hand column a little down from the top.

if you want something that's pretty good for a decent price, check the Gold Coast (right next to the Rio). Good Stuff.

okay, got back last week. here's my lil humble review :)

my ranking of hotel buffets (base on price, quality, then atmosphere):
1) Monte Carlo: not much seafood but everything else was good) 15.75
2) Caesear Palace: surprisingly shitty environment to eat consider the entrance and lobby are so grand and elegant. food are okay but a buck more expensive than Monte Carlo
3) Mandalay Bay: 21 dollar, shitty seafood, nice place. but I rather spend the same amount in Rum Jungle
4) Sahara and Rio's non-seafood. TIE. Sahara is quite inexpensive and have good seafood in their menu, but the environment (somewhat ghetto) and location (too far up the Strip) make it a turn off. Rio is okay, it didn't impress me much with their food quality or decoration glamor or cost. it pass on every aspect, instead of failing in any category

it is not too much after tip. think of it this way, u go to vegas to experience things. you don't go to la and don't go to disney land because the tickets too much right? :)

i'd rather go to bellagio once then eat at low end buffet/fast food the rest of the time then eat at cr@ppy places the entire time.

don't think your getting ripped off for 25 dollars. a 25 dollar buffet in vegas is a 60 dollar buffet anywhere else.

you ARE getting a hotdeal:)

Mandalay Bay

yes it does suck, its like any 8 dollar buffet anywhere almost:p

Buffet topic aside, we went to Nick's Pizza across from Boardwalk Hotel, damn it was expensive. $60 for 2 pizzas and 2 beers. not even worth it at all.

Cirque du Buffet. ;)

If you're downtown, you might want to try Main Street Station. Good selection, food was fresh, and reasonably priced.

best one i had so far was the one at the aladdin. DON'T GO IN A BIG GROUP! they automatically added our tip in so it came out to be about 25ish per person. it was great - food from all over the world. loved it.

circus circus is very bland. i've heard rio's is the best but i personally haven't tried it yet.

the pricier hotels - bellagio and what not... their buffets will be expensive.

the trick is to play a lot or join their "gambling" clubs. if you earn a certain number of points, they'll start comping you. :)

Lmao :)
hehe,

and yeah, I should actually pay the "high" price and eat at Bellagio. but its alright, there's always next time.
and i should actually rank both Sahara AND Rio higher than Mandalay Bay. Unless it was an isolated incident, Mandalay Bay food is sad for its price.
