I know everyone said the Buffet at Belliagio is like the best shitzo evar. but 25 or 30 after tip is a bit too much for me and my friends....

so any runner-ups?

I tried Monte Carlo and Caeaer Palace, Monte Carlo's was a bit better despite their lack of sea food.
Sahara has lots of seafood, but the atmosphere and environment is a bit sub-par.

Try the seafood buffet at the Rio. Lobster, oyster, shrimps, you name it.
The desserts are good too. Is 40 bucks a piece though

Rio buffet is the best by far.....

Price is relative...if you play and get rated, chances are you'll eat free.

WTF? $40 for a Vegas buffet? I guess they really are going upscale. For $40 a person I'd rather goto a more intimate restaurant here in LA.

Huh? It was like $10 or $15 when I went there a few years ago, and I wasn't even staying at the Rio.

MGM Grand is also good.

Rio has more than one buffet.

I went for dinner and is the one at the corner. Next to a shop that sells pearls. The line to get in was 3 hours long.

$40 bucks won't get you far in LA if you also order dessert. The ingredients they use in the Rio are good. The flavor is so so unless you think boiled lobster with butter is good.

The buffet at the Universal studios' hotel is decent too (Marriot or Hilton..don't remember).

Even so, $40 is too much for 99% of the buffets in the world.

the buffett at bally's is "only" 30 i believe, and they've got the all-you-can-eat crab legs :)

You can get buffets with crab legs for 12 bucks at the chinese buffets in LA. The food is VERY good. They put Todai to shame.

When I was there last December, Caesars was $39 a head and $29 or so at Bellagio.

Golden Nugget (downtown) was $12 and Flamingo was $15. I thought both were good :) Don't see spending double the price. Then again I'm just a country bum :p

I was just in Vegas for Comdex. I ate at The Mirage and it was a seafood buffet for $13. Also if you are looking for a cheap buffet that is good head over to the Palace Station for $10.

MGM Grand is tight. Stay away from Excalibur's buffet!

The buffet at the Rio always kinda grosses me out... there's something about it that's not quite right...

Was there 2 weeks ago. Went to the new Aladin hotel buffet at the Spice Market, it was good. Bout $20 I think.
Had more of a range of food. Indian, Asian, Mexican & desserts just as good as Belagio.

Mirage has a good buffet too for $15. Has mostly everything except King Crab legs, just Dungeness crab legs.

I don't suppose anyone else here remembers when you could go to Vegas and the buffets were all free. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. All you had to do was walk into a Casino and the buffet table was laid out.

Heheh well up until recently (Post 9/11) cigs were free too :( I guess the downturn in the economy after 9/11 made Vegas tighten up. Went there in October last year and you had to have $100 average bets to get free cigs and cocktails with Red Bull....whats up wit dat?!?!?!? We were playing $25 mins and our average rating was $50, so we managed to get free Red Bulls and Stoli, but still...no free cigs :| Got a schweet $250 comp for 5 though at the steakhouse along with buffet comps though.

Yeah, I'll third that nomination.

By far, the best buffet I've ever had was at Sunset Station. They have steak and ribs every night, and I believe it's only $10.99 for dinner. Only problem is that it's in Green Valley, so, it's a drive from the Strip (95 south to Sunset, you'll see it). I'd say it's worth it for the price and the quality, really. I know a lot of people who would rather have Sunset than Rio or Bellagio.

The Orleans has a good buffet, lots of seafood last time I was there. That's on W Tropicana (and Decatur, I think?).

Also good is Green Valley Ranch, also a drive from the Strip (but not that bad, it's right off the 215 south, at Green Valley Parkway). I stay away from the Strip usually, it's too expensive and most of it isn't even as good as the other places.

Anyway, have fun, be safe :)
