Hey I'm thinkin of goin to Six flags this weekend but with attendence waayyy down are there still horrible horrible lines for everything?

I usually go on a weekday... overcast if possible so there is literally no one there. Unfortunately due to our new jobs (bleh) we have to pick a weekend day.

I refuse to go but from what my friends told me, the lines and crowd is ridiculous.
Just too many immature kids who butt in line and try to start crap.

weekdays would be better but then again it is summer time and school is out.

I went on a Wednesday of last month and the wait was about 15-45 minutes, depending on the ride. Get the Flash Pass if you don't want to wait too long.

Yeah I was there a week ago (weekday) and though the lines were long, I didn't wait thaaaaaat long for most rides (no more than 45 min).

A lot of the rides had mechanical problems, however, that put them out of commission for a while.

Theme Parks are freakin' terrible, terrible places. The Six Flags in MD is a black hole of typical Walmart customers. I haven't been there in 5+ years, so maybe they've actually put a Walmart on the premesis.

Yeah, I couldn't believe the price of the Flash Pass when I took my kids, sister, and nephew to Six Flags over Georgia last week. After we got to the park though and spent over an hour in line for Thunder River and another hour in line for Monster Mansion, I wish we would have gotten them.

Fvck six flags, they should all burn. I went to Six Flags Atlanta several times and the last time it was a CLUSTER FVCK. I was there for seven hours and rode 3-4 rides, the rest of the time spent in lines. Fvck that place to hell.

People say the fast passes work pretty well, but I'm already (obviously) traumatized to the extent I don't ever intend to find out first-hand.

Yep, frankly when I'm there I wonder how these welfare people even pay for tickets, maybe they saved up all year, but I hate the place.

There is a big theme park in my area which I have to say is quite tolerable from a lineup perspective.

How about over two hours for Superman? Yes, I did it. Sucked some balls. I almost died from heat stroke, as it was scorching hot.

yeah I have been there a couple of times, last year wasn't so bad, I took my daughter on a Monday, and there was hardly anybody there, there was one roller coaster we went on(the wooden one) where there was no line, they let us just stay on

Heh. My son wanted to ride his first big rollercoaster when we went last week so I told him to pick which one he wanted to go on. He said Superman. We walk over to it and it's at least a 90 minute wait. I tell him no way and we walk over to The Ninja where the line was empty and we were able to get on the ride with hardly any wait.

Yeah some of the older rides there are tolerable. Like if a lineup is 20 minutes for that green loopy one (which isn't bad) it cane be magnitudes longer for supersh*t.

If I go to six flags I'm getting the gold pass. 125+60+15+food+gas.... like $250 for a freakin day at crappy six flags.

I have to do something exciting or whatever for the gf this weekend and she's been wanting to go all summer... but 250 bucks for one day......... gotta be something cheaper than that that will suffice. I think I'm screwed though.

AND it says 30% chance of thunderstorms that day. 30% seems to basically mean 100% lately, does the park stay open in the rain?

Heh, It had been several years since I last went to Six Flags prior to last week. I've been to Disney World a couple of times since then. Everything about Six Flags just seems like 1/4 of the quality of Disney World. The only thing Six Flags really has over Disney World is roller coaster quantity.

But my kids absolutely loved it anyway and had a blast. They keep asking when we can go back. So, that's all that matters.

i would never ever go to an amusement park on the weekend ... ever.

hell i never even wanna go after school is out for the little shits.

i went to kings dominion early june, and there were some school field trips there, but other than waiting for the new rollercoaster ride and the volcano, the longest my wife and i waited in line was like 10-15 minutes. i'd say over 50% of the rides we went up to we just went up and got on.

we hit every rollercoaster, then hit every slide in the water park we wanted to, and all the rides total we wanted, by like 6:30 so we just left before the park closed.

good times!

That sounds about as great a prospect as a triple enema.
