Took the words out of my mouth. They have one down in Jersey apparently. Expensive though. $84 for the wife and I after coupon, but before tax and tip.

It's really cool... i've been to three.... one in New Jersey, one in Florida, and the one in Vegas at the Excalibur.

They all serve the same thing.... soup.... a cornish hen with potatoes, and a dessert of some type. Unlimited Drinks.

The "story" is usually the same.... the king gathers all the knights for a tournament, which is interrupted by a bad guy (evil knight usually) ... one of the good knights gets killed and the others participate in a tournament with the evil knight to see who wins.

Good HorseRiding displays... and usually some good sword/weapon fights too.

spoiler alert would have been appreciated

i plan on going in september!

I used to go as a kid when I lived in CA. How come noone's mentioned the torture museum yet? They've got all sorts of old-school torture devices they used back in that time. Freaked me out as a kid because the descriptions were pretty graphic. I loved it 😉

I live, literally, 3 minutes drive from here (warning, there is corny music when you get there). I have never gone. If they had an adults only show, I would be there in a flash. But from the websites, it seems like a lot of kids go there and my experience is that kids and restaurants are not an enjoyable combination!

🙂

Edit: how the he!! do you eat soup without utensils?

You can pick up the bowl and slurp it 🙂

The food is excellent though...start off with the soup, then you get some bread and damn near an entire chicken, followed by a huge potato and dessert...for those saying not enough food, you need to seriously consider how much you conume in one meal! 🙂

It is pricey as you mention though, but it's worth it to get the preffered seating if you've never been there....it's one of those things I would only pay for once.

I always thought the food was pretty crappy....
Cost is OK.

The show is also mediocre. It's fun to get rowdy and heckle the opposing knights, but performance-wise at times it can get campy to the level of pro-wrestling. For example, a knight gets knocked off his horse and lays on the ground motionless with his weapon just out of his reach. The other knight dismounts and raises his weapon in preparation to "finish him." And stands there. For like 30 seconds. And just as he brings his mace crashing down, the first knight rolls aside, grabs his weapon, jumps to his feet and gets back in the action.

As if we didn't see that coming.

Worth doing once, especially with a bunch of people who like to go bonkers.

we went on a band trip when i was in 9th grade.
about 11-12 years ago.
it was okay. i remember the food not being too great and a couple of the trumpet players playing "cantaloop" before the show.

I've been taken several times, and i can't emphasize that enough. Only take enthusiastic people. A sourpuss next to you can kill the whole show.

sorry to stray off topic but i love it when people recognize that song as being by Us3

Cable Guy did a great job with that. Yes, it's almost exactly like that except the serving wenches aren't quite so disgusted with the job (at least they don't show it, they probably are).

I've been to the Kissimee one a few times over the years. It's not bad. A little pricey, but, overall good times.

it was a herbie hancock song, cantaloupe island. (i'm a big fan of his, and he had so many good songs that it's not a big deal, plus it's a pretty good remake)

thanks for the reminder of that song!!!

Here is another vote for "Do it!". I went like a year ago. It was a good time. Plenty of food and decent tasting. We got 2 mugs of drink, your choice of soda or beer (wasn't unlimited as someone else said though). The show was pretty good, some skills competitions at first (didn't seem like the winners were staged here) and then a sort of battle. It's all set to music, fog machines and occasional explosions and has a story line to it. It's fun to give the other knights hell (this one knight sucked the knight we were there and everyone in the place heckled him, I'm sure he loved it though). BLUE KNIGHT!!!!! BLUE KNIGHT RULES!!!! --- oh ya I sat in the blue knight section.

I took my GF last year. It was kick ass. The show is pretty long and very well done, but the food isn't the best. You don't get much food, despite what they lead you to believe.

Really??

The wife and I went 2 years ago, and it was pretty much non-stop food from start until about 20 minutes before the end of the show...

Good show by the way... Well worth it..
