Which kind of French bread? Do you mean the stale, sterile, 'Americanised' version of the baguette that you can buy in supermarkets?

any one with a nice crust i can break off and snack on solo or with cheese like im a froggy euro
 
Yeah, that's a little too broad for me to offer you any real help. Start with a basic hearth bread and if you can pull that off then you can work your way up.
