One of our machines at work is built on an Abit KT7 motherboard with a Visiontech Geforce2 GTS. This machine is super-flaky. It seems to have all kinds of problems coming out of sleep or suspend modes. Sometimes it seems to take 3 or 4 reboots to get a succesful start. Sometimes I get the "Windows has found new hardware" message when I reboot the PC.
We've swapped the card out and replaced it with an ATI Rage Fury Pro and everything works fine. Obviously this is a temporary solution because the ATI card is way slower.
I'm wondering if replacing it with a Geforce2 from another manufacturer would solve the problem. Onfortunately we don't have any other cards avilable here at work. Maybe I'll bring my MSI Geforce II GTS from home and bring it in.
