"With the rise of the Tea Party, the white-right and other racist forces.
With gun sales nationwide at an all time high amongst whites, with a mood
that is more anti-Black than any time recent, it is imperative that we
organize our forces, pool our resources and prepare for war!"

Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq. Convention Convener and Party Chairman.

I think I may answer Malik's call to arms! Ever seen those racist teabaggers?

Middle aged white guys railing against government spending are scary!

This is rather scary thinking though. Gun sales were going through the roof as it became apparent that obama was becoming president. Hardly anything to do with him being black. And I would like to see where Malik Zulu gets his stats on gun ownership. Does he factor in illegal gun sales or just legal ones?

I would ask anyone who thinks this is due to racism to go look up the data when certain magazines and rifles were outlawed in the past. Now you pay top dollar for pre-ban accessories. I bet sales were through the roof only because people wanted to be grandfathered in before any new law took effect. With obamas track record on gun owner rights in Illinois... you can't blame people for wanting to get a handgun while they can. Herd mentality or whatever... hardly racism though.

While a lot of the members of the tea party crowd annoy me, there's nothing racist about them. I'm so sick of hearing the professional victims whining and whining.

I'M THERE!

Power to the Peeeepul! Free Huey Newton!

If Barry be there, I be there!

I need some of that walkin' aroun' money, Baaaarrryyy!

Free scooters for everyone!

😵

Ummmm, never mind. For a moment I thought you were talking about an effective movement, the Gray Panthers.

The Black Panthers? I thought they pretty much killed themselves off with inter-gang warfare and drug overdoses?

But, just in case a few of them are still walking around in those cool Fonzarelli 60's style leather jackets, styling with the shades and the Fros, and haven't yet been busted by the Queer Eye For The Straight Guy fashionista po-leece, I say do the right thing...

Buy more guns!

Kneejerks only know one speed...

Still waiting for Obama/Dems to take my guns. Been waiting for over 40 years now...

+1 who has never felt compelled to stock up during ANY president's term.

(BTW - what track record of taking away guns/rights would that be?)

And I did not say it was a legitimate fear. Perceived or whatever... it does not matter. My point is the increase of gun sales is not related to racism.

Re-read my OP. this is not about obama and the dems taking away guns.
