connection on an LCD monitor?

seems like theres a large barrier between LCD monitors with just analog, and those with DVI... most of the reasonable priced ones do not have it. is it worth getting? any real noticable differneces?

the difference you see depends on the quality of the LCD. I used to have a 17.4" Planar and it was horrible when connected via analog.

I now have a 1900FP and while it is better with DVI its pretty darn clear with analog. I'd use DVI if i could but I ditched my desktop and only use a laptop now.

actually, you'd be surprised what the higher end models offer in terms of analog. its actually quite impressive.

i have a Planar 174 hooked up using DVI and a Samsung 173P through analog side by side right now, both are incredible ;)

is it the newer slimmer bezel one or the old think bezel one (CT1714NU?). I ahd the think bezel one and it was absolutly horrible when using analog. Super sharp when using DVI

model is PV174, i've never used it with analog, so not sure what this actually looks with that. but DVI makes my eyes pretty happy :)
