woah, 2nd time jogging this week (going to start doing this every other day).. been about a year since i jogged (did 6 month stint last year) and boy, is that tiring... especially jogging into the wind.. windy in the bay area lately.. aigh!

mile time sucks too.. 9 1/2 min mile.. last year i was doing 8-8 1/2 minute miles.. not great.. but not bad either considering i havent jogged consistently for a year.

running 1 1/2 miles for the next few weeks.. will gradually go up to 2 miles, etc...

im not doing this cause i enjoy it.. more like summer is coming around.. and i need to get off a very thin layer so my abs will show up more.. and i hear it helps the love handles...

I'd rather play basketball to get a good workout. I don't do that enough, but I could never jog regularly since it's so boring! :)

As long as I've got my music, and it's not raining outside, I don't mind it. Not my favorite pastime, but it makes me feel a lot better to have gotten some good exercise.

It's fun when you've got lots of buddies and you run in interesting places and do interesting things. Legal of course. ;)

Ahhh... the cross-country memories...

I've gone through phases of interests in it but I can't go more than about 1-2 weeks before I start to hate going. I like what you get from it, but it sucks ballz for fun.

I'm doing fairly hard biking now every day and my interest in this has not waned a bit. It's significantly more enjoyable for me (much on tough trails) and burns more calories since I can't jog for more than 25-30 min anyway whereas I can easily get more time on a bike.

I love to run. When I did run I'd run at about 7;30am in the mornings. Mindi you this was after I had finished studying for the year though. I'd run about 4 miles and be back in an hour. Not a good time but I can run a mile fast.

I don't do that anymore though. It cuts down on total strength by about 5%. So this year from my coaches advice I'll sprint 20m then walk back then sprint 20m again. I'll do this 10x for one set. Then take a minutes rest then repeat and do this 3 sets. This will really rip me up for summer.........

There's no drug in the world that can compare to the endorphins generated by vigorous exercise. Running seems unpleasant to those who are not yet in condition, but it can turn into am almost spiritual experience.

Now if they would just come out with a sports bra for women who aren't built like Kate Moss...

Running makes me feel sick to my stomach.
For some reason I can swim until my body is numb and I can kayak tirelessly for 8 hours or more. In both cases, my heart is pounding and my muscles are burning and I'm heaving for breath, but no matter how much I swim or kayak I never feel like I'm going to puke the way I do when I finish running.

I only run when chased. I will ride the bike and do other exercise type stuff though, but running is not for me.

Back in hs I used to wrap an Ace bandage around my chest :frown: Most of the "high impact" bras are a joke!

Check out Champion. My fiancee, who was a top state Cross Country runner, and who also happens to be a 38C/36D fully endorses them! :D

Sometimes she actually wears two at a time for a little extra support.

ummm...... I don't think that you have tried very many drugs. Spiritual experiences are a dime a dozen. ;)

Except when it friggin cold. :disgust:

Strangely enough, I like running in the cold. I usually go after work ~6pm, so in the winter it's cold and dark, but oddly peaceful at the same time.

I'm trying to get used to warm weather that we're having suddenly. ~80 freakin' degrees!

love running its the best. usually do between 35 and 40 miles a week. i usually race 10ks and half marathons and do pretty well. Running in cold is much better than when its too warm out
