My PC crashes a lot, very random. my system might be idle, or I might be playing a game. Dunno what the hell is causing it I have replaced EVERYTHING in my pc except for the memory. I ran memtest for hours and got zero errors so I'm figuring it can't be that.

if anyone here understands memory dumps, this is a link to mine, 64k dump. My drivers are all up to date, nothing is overclocked, temps should be fine, as my case has 2 120mm fans, 1 80, and a huge heatsink on my cpu.

Eek, that's a weird one. I get a lot of errors when loading it, which could be relating to my machine or yours.

[Edit]

After messing around for a bit, it seems that either you need to update a device driver, or your have an intermittent hardware fault.

I'm seeing IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL throughout and a reference to processor.sys. I would suggest running Windows Update, and then systematically updating all your drivers, no matter how big or small a piece of hardware it is.

Good luck :)

I've tried all the drivers (new and old) I even did a clean install of XP last night, and I got a BSOD within 15 minutes of getting all my drivers installed. I HATE XP :D

Last night though, I got the DRIVER_IRQ_LESS_THEN (I think that's it?) never seen that one.

I think my room is haunted, no reason a PC with totally different components in it should still crash! I was sure the video card was causing it, so I bought an X800 a few weeks ago, it didn't help at all *siiigh*

Overclocking error, due to your memory timings.. Either relax your timings or buy better memory.

I ran Memtest for hours with no problems, my memory is Corsair XMS Pro, as far as overclocking, I'm not overclocking anything. And Memtest is showing my memory timing as actually higher then what it's rated at. It was showing it as 3-3-6-8 in Memtest. And the memory's supposed to be 2-3-6-6, very weird.

If memory basically running slower then it's rated, could that be causing a problem? Memtest is showing no errors, but I'm at wits end with these BSOD's

I was running Mushkin 2-2-2 special and I think I had some problems like this. The solution that I ended up with was I had to raise the memory voltage a bit. Might want to call Corsair and ask what they would recommend for the voltage. Hope this helps.

hummm raise the voltage? interesting idea, I know this memory can take extra with no problem. I might try that just to see what happens. thanks for the idea man.

Did you run Windows Update, as I suggested?

Your minidump is referencing processr.sys which is the processor driver. If the driver Windows has installed for your machine is out of date, it may cause problems until it's updated.

Run WU and have a look in the Device Drivers section.

Lastly, this could be (as someone else suggested) voltage, or maybe heat. You need to check the temperatures rather than not worrying about it because you have enough cooling- your heatsink may be mounted back-to-front, without thermal paste, etc...

I see a problem in something attached to usbport.sys (something = a driver). Is this your only dump? Surely you have more.

Detatch everything (evvverything) from your PC's USB ports except a dead-standard mouse and keyboard; no printers, no extra stuff. Confirm the problem still exists.
Have you done ALL Windows Updates? Once you do that, reboot and confirm the problem still exists.
Run MPS Reports and send me the resulting .cab file.
Send me any additional dumps you have in c:\windows\minidumps.

OK, so that tells us that it's only after you install aftermarket drivers that the problem happens - right? So if that's the case, we should be able to narrow things down enough so you can find the problem.

You brought up a good point with the USB thing, as I thought about it, the one peice of hardware that I haven't replaced would be my D Link USB Wireless adapter. I didn't think about that. I'll unplug it for a few days and see what happens.

as for updating, I'm current. been getting these BSOD's for almost a year, I bet it's the USB adapter.
