Ok, I'm going to link to two images. The first one I link is what I'm looking for, but it is at an angle and I need it to be straight up and down. I have acdsee, but it only rotates in increments of 90 degrees. However, I worry that even if it was able to be rotated to be standing up it would still be unproportional to the 2d straight up and down image I'm looking for. The second image is what I want it to look like except that it is a different design. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.

If I was at home with some decent software, I could do it easily for you.

If nobody else has done it by then, I'll try when I get home. It'll be a simple matter of rotating & skewing it until you like the way it looks.

I'm guessing that first image is a 3d render. If you want that image but the cross to be straight up and down, you'd have to re-render it to keep the proportions correct.

Viper or anybody else for that matter, I'd really appreciate it if you could see what you could do.

Thanks

you can't proportionaly make the first image look like the second image because of the ange the first one is at. you can align it the same way up and down, but it will still be off on left to right. Anotherwords, it won't be facing completely forward, you would have to re-render it to do it.

there is a program that will literally make that image a 3d image, meaning it will allow you convert that 2d image into one where you can manipulate it as if was an image of something 2d.

but that's something i don't remember the name of.

anyway, if you do "rotate" it, you probably want to elongate it too.

but using something more sophisicated would be much better.

It seems like it would be simple to me. The color depth of the first picture is not very detailed. It seems like you could use a clone brush to fill in the second picture with the color of the first. Then you could blend over the original image in the first with backround color (clone brush again). When done, you can cut and paste (use the wand) the image you made onto the original background you want. You can do this all in Paint Shop Pro which has a full featured 90day trial.

I really don't care about the background. I just need the cross the other stuff isn't important. I want to get that cross as a tattoo.

Ok, I had a friend look at it and he was able to do this:

pic 3

but as you can see, the pic is a little out of proportion[L=pic 3]
