wow. what a match, I can't believe how off Federer was today, never would've imagined seeing him play like that. Some amazing points though...so much topspin, wow :0.

Fed was playing like crap. Nadal brings it all to the court, and leaves it out there. his intensity is great, but neithier of them are Pete Sampras

Even Sampras was quoted as saying Federer is playing against history. FedEx is better than Sampras on every surface and it's almost a push on grass. He is 100x the player Sampras was on clay though but he played like crap today. Plus all the high backhands he hit ended up too short and hitting the service line, after that he was kind of done.

Are you kidding me, neither are Pete Sampras ??? Federer has a much better all around game than Sampras ever had. He's a hell of a lot more athletic and he dominates points and opponents in a way Sampras never did. If he stays healthy and quits dropping matches like this he'll give Sampras's record a wolloping.

Fed better than sampras on grass? No way. 7 Wimby's. Fed will have to stand the test of time. Will he win 14 Grand Slams? Honestly, no. Will he be #1 player 6 years? No. Fed has not had the results to prove to be a better player on clay than we know him to be. Sampras made it to the semi's of the french, and so had Fed. Fed does not have the big serve, nor the volley, and they are tied in forehands.

Sorry to drag up an old thread.

I've never been a big fan of tennis but I started watching the federer/nadal match and then made a point to catch the nadal/peutas (?) match the next day. I was quite entertained by both. I really like nadal, that guy just goes balls to the wall for every point. Those guys were just amazing.

Plus women's tennis has women wearing tennis skirts.

You have no idea how many times I've almost rented "wimbleton" because it has Kirstin Dunst in a pleated tennis skirt on the cover. Thats the only draw.
