I really need to get a pic of my setup downstairs, we got mattresses and bean bags on the floor, with a projector hooked up to the dvd player so we're watching movies on a 12 foot screen.

Ours isn't that big, we don't have a big enough wall.

I would guess 10' though, maybe a little more.

With a little re-arrangement (to get an unobstructed shot at the wall, eliminate the slanted ceiling crap in the upper left) and a projector mounted from the ceiling, this living room could make a damn nice theater.

My Wega just seems so inadequate now.

How much does a decent projector cost?

No idea...but at my dads job they practically hand them out like candy. The projector is totally kickass and is the size of a briefcase when it's all packed up. Unfortunately I can't drag it along to college, hehe.

At the very least, I'd guess a grand. I want to build my own mediocre one like a few people at avsforum(s?) did.

I'm the roomate, you can find the model I borrowed this weekend (an InFocus LP280) on Ebay for $1400-$1500. We have several others, this one had not been used in a while so I thought a movie would make a great test.

Next I might just have to pull out my PS2 and play some GT3, the thing has practically sat on the shelf since I got it so I should probably make some use of it to justify the money I spent... Or maybe hook it up to my desktop and play some UT.
