Anybody want to play L4D2 with a newbie?

Finally bought it on a sale, but I don't want to just jump in randomly and be at a total loss. Didn't know if there were more "noob friendly" servers or something with some friendly people, as I know there's lots of hostility towards those figuring stuff out. I'd be more interested in versus, but wouldn't mind co-op help either.

Basically... does anybody still play this? And where?

Add me. I'll be playing after this French zombie finishes.

I'd be willing to play. I've owned L4D2 for a while now, and have never played it. I've not played any of the zombie splatter games (L4D1, CoD zombie mod, etc.), but consider myself a pretty darn good FPS player. Though, admittedly, it was 1,000 posts ago that I was 1337.

are you new to the series?

Yes indeed. I tried the demo of the first one and didn't care for it, but that was co-op and with randoms. Then the second one came out quick. Then steam kept having sales so I decided to jump.

Been playing it recently. I've got 415+ hours, so if you want some tips, let me know. :awe:

I have over 1,200 hours in left 4 dead 2, and around 688 hours in the original.

OP, if you want play, send me a yell on Steam.

I play with some guys with 2k+.

Go to their profile and view the stats of the game, in the top left hand corner of the stats you will see their "actual" play time. I have seen people with 5,000 hours in left 4 dead 2, but only 400 hours "actual" play time. People will leave l4d & l4d2 running all the time to build up their hours. So they might have lots of hours logged in their profile, but little real playing experience.

Like my l4d2 says around 1,200 hours, but I have over 900 hours "real" playing time.

So when your looking at someones profile, and they have a lot of hours in a game, click "view stats", then take a look at their real playing time.

It'd be easier for everybody to add me if they wanted, since not everybody gave their steam name. I'd assume it's the same username as mine is, but that doesn't seem to be the case always.

I would, as I've only put about 5 minutes into LFD2...but I'm too busy not playing LFD2.

I'm so sick of zombies, no matter how much I try. :\
