Anybody want some dogs?

So we've taken in some more not-so-stray strays. These puppies were obviously somebodies that appear to have gotten out of a yard or otherwise away from their owners. Guy at the hotel behind our house talked us into taking them in and trying to find the owners (It's entirely possible they were his dogs and he wanted to get rid of them). We've put up flyers and asked around, but nobody seems to know who they belonged to.

What I want to know, is what kind of breed are these dogs, and is anybody here in/near Corpus Christi and outlying areas and wants them?

cuuute, for some reason I see a little pug in them...too 'small' to be st bernards...even though the coats look like it.

You could take them to a vet, and ask them to read them...maybe they are chipped. All of my animals are.

I didn't think about having a vet see if they're chipped, I don't recall seeing any scars on them, though. No tattoos, either.

Sorry folks, local pickup only. It's highly likely we'll end up with two more dogs if we can't find them a home in a month or so. We're suckers for strays.

If you really don't want them you should call the animal shelter. Puppies have a much better chance of getting adopted than adult dogs. And the shelter has far more resources to ge them adopted than you do. I would also suggest making a donation to them if you turn them over.

Edit: Gulf Coast Humane Society

You wouldn't see it most likely...I could never see it on my animals, its a tiny chip. Even after they get 'chipped' (UPGRAYYYED!!) you never see a hole or anything.

We tried. Called every shelter in town, nobody has any room. I even offered to donate the GCHS two big bags of pet food if they'd take them. :(

Blue eyes...part Siberian Husky? What else has blue eyes?

Wife and I are considering a puppy, but we're not in Texas. Good luck!

The face markings are similar to great pyrenees. The ears aren't quite right though. I'd have to guess it may be a cross between something & either a great pyrenees or st bernard.
(Great pyrenees puppy & 6 month old picture at bottom of webpage in my signature)

I was thinking part husky too...with the blue eyes and the shortish ears, kind of like my husky.

They have tree trunk looking legs like my husky did when she was a pup.

Well damn let me ask around about mixed breed rescue in South Texas. It is "puppy & kitten season" this time of year. And those look like boxer mixes but it is very hard to tell breed at that age and without seeing the parents...
