I have been using them on all of my primary and backup systems since they first came out. The BIOS Saviour is easy to install, and works well. A very good insurance policy against bad BIOS flashes, and fooling around with hacking BIOS's to enable features, ( such as full RAID mods with onboard Promise controllers ) etc..

A very worth while investment IMHO.

You just pull your BIOS chip out, install the BIOS Saviour in it's place, and plug your BIOS chip into the BIOS Saviour. There is a switch that allows you to choose between the primary BIOS chip, and the BIOS flashed into the BIOS Saviour. If you screw up a flash to the BIOS Saviour, just click the switch back over to your primary BIOS chip. The BIOS Saviour could then be flashed again.

Check out the link that cbuchach provided. It is well written, with a lot of pictures. If done carefully, it is not difficult to pull your BIOS chip. I would not even consider running any of my personal systems without a BIOS Saviour installed.
