Nope, no issues with Overdrive. 12.9 did fix my crossfire eyefinity flickering.

Only WHQLs here. 12.8 is the latest of those.

Hey the Woodlands, I've been there. Mother in law has a 2nd home that she rents out there. Nice area.

I've seen more problems following the above sequence than I can count. On the other hand, simply installing the new Catalyst pkg. over the top of the old one has yet to fail, and this is going back years (at least back to 2007.)

I've been having that problem on and off for months now going back several driver versions. Sometimes I can get into Overdrive and sometimes not. It's not just 12.9 - AMD messed this up a while ago and has yet to fix it.

I'm using the 12.8's & would like to move up to the 12.9's, as I'd like to see the random artifacts removed when running in TriFire.

The 12.8's eliminated issues I was having with previous drivers, but introduced a new set of their own. Starting to wonder if 670 4GB cards are in my future. Sure, these cards are blazing fast, no question, but I'm sick of making compromises from one driver release to another.

For those wondering, for the most part, I only have issues when running TriFire, not CF, although I've only run CF for benchmarking.

I was an early adopter with these cards. If I could go back & do it all over again, I wouldn't. Knowing what I know now, if the 670 4GB cards were out then, at today's prices, I would've gone 670's all the way.

For TriFire, AMD's drivers have been disappointing, to say the least.

I am not impressed with 12.9s. I started getting some wierd glitches in BL2 and some new flickering.

@ djnsmith7 I'm wondering about that too. @ tweakboy yea I agree. Still I'm going to try Meghan's approach and see if that changes anything.

Answer to that. Probably hundreds of thousands of gamers.

:$

That wasn't the OP's question. He wants advice not comments from the peanut gallery. When someone comes looking for help he shouldn't have to wade through thread crapping.

Op, do as Maghan suggested and just try reinstalling the drivers and ccc right over what you already have. That will often fix it. Also it's a good idea to turn off AV software and firewall while installing. Glitches caused by them scanning can cause problems. Just make sure you are off line for security purposes.

Had same issue but launched a game, quit, re-opened CCC and it worked again.

Also, I noticed under the "Power Play" its always set to "balanced", even though everything is set to max performance.

For some people OverDrive doesn´t work at all, for others it partially does. I only have the GPU tab under OD, the CPU tab is missing though.

Possible good news for AMD users coming 10/22.
