anybody use waze for navigation

I use Google Maps for navigation, but I keep Waze running to take advantage of crowd-sourced data on speed traps and traffic cameras. Paired with my 9500ix and laser jammers, I feel confident in my countermeasures.

I also like reporting traffic cops when I can. Beats flashing your headlights.

Obviously not everyone has a smartphone, or is using Waze, but I have to wonder at what point will police start seeing a reduction in fines collected because of apps like Waze? Not that I care one bit, traffic cops can FOAD.

I could never get the voice controls to work to report things like hazards. Are there a list of keywords that will work or is it some technique?

I dig Waze. No real issues. I think it's the best Navigation app around. I love being able to check multiple sources for directions and such. The ads are implemented well and don't bug me. Does it's job well.

Otherwise I have Google Navigation and NavFree as backups.

I would rather see the normal google nav just add social networking. Maybe Google will buy WAZE.

Well what's nice with Waze is sometimes an address is not on one mapping place (including Google Maps) and you can select another source to get the directions all within Waze.

I'm kinda surprised Google hasn't made an offer or added similar features yet aside from checking multiple mapping sources....

Apple was rumored to buy Waze.

I love Waze. The traffic redirecting on it is amazing.

I think it would be best if no one bought Waze.

Apple and Google really need to just keep adding features and improving and letting us the consumers decide.

Competition is a good thing. I kinda doubt Waze wants to be sold either.
