i think i mite jump on a deal rite now...but im unsure of how the toner is for this printer? how long does it last? and the price is around 70 bucks a pop...which is almost 40% than im spending on the printer...is it worth it?

Personal reviews welcomed and appreciated.

I have one here at the office. For the money it's a good personal laser, but it can be noisy in a quiet environment.

Print Yield - 1000 Page(s) @ 5% Black Toner Cartridge(s)

I got from Fry's a few weeks ago. Only printed like three things on it so far, so I probably won't be much help, but it does in fact work and has decent enough print quality.

I've printed about 1k pages but at 600 dpi and it's still going strong.

I'll probably buy a toner re-fill kit when one is found cheap enough. Found a re-fill kit for
$38 today=No Thank You!

I paid $50 A/R from The Egg for mine.

Print quality is good, comes with a starter cartridge, cheapest new cart. is 47$ (generic) samsung 70$. If you dont have a 6 ft usb ab cable, walmart has them for 10-12$. The printer is noisy.

thanks guys...ive been lookin at the prices on the toner and that is truly my only turn off...besides the rebate of courese...ive read of people having trouble with samsung...other than the toner price, i think this printer would be enough for printing reports for college and stuff...i dont know if i buy it today...if the rebate will still count...they might put a hook in my a$$ and tell me something different...ill wait for the next deal on this baby so i can get a headstart on the rebate window...but i REALLY appreciate the feedback people thanks agian.

Yes that is what it means, however that number is incorrect (it may be for the "starter" cartridge). Everywhere I've looked has the standard cartridge yield of 3000 pages @ 5%.

As for the printer. I have one and I don't like it nearly as much as my HP LaserJet 1012. It's fairly noisy and the fan runs for at least 5 minutes after printing. It also draws a large amount of current every 15 seconds or so to keep it ready to print quickly, unless it is "sleeping." Overall it's a decent printer but if you can spend a bit more I'd recommend getting a low end HP LaserJet. The ironic thing is that normally I like Samsung and dislike HP.

i picked up a 2250 around christmas time. i have used hp for over a decade and thought, what the hell, it is cheap. i am definately not disappointed in my decision. with the 2250 "starter" cartridge i have so far printed out ~2500 pages. the print quality @ 600 dpi is equal to hps. i rarely use 1200 as i rarely print out graphics other than line art on it.

it does make some noise, but i woudn't consider it noisy.

for the price you can't beat it and after all the issues with the lower end hp lines like the 1100x series, i switched, and glad i did. a toner cartridge every ~3000+ sheets is not too bad imo.

i would definately buy another one and for the price the 2010 looks good too. also, most toner cartridges run between $50-$70 anyway.

I have a HP 1012, and my friend has the samsung 2010. I must say my HP is quieter and just feels more solid, but for the price the samsung is pretty nice. I can't give any numbers on the toner usage, but I can't imagine it being as low as 1000 pages @ 5%.
