I do alot in photoshop, and I was thinking of getting a drawing tablet. Does anybody here use one. How do you like it? How much did you spend on it? And is there any features or whatever that I should look for in one? Thanks

I have one but don't use it very often, it is really hard to use it correctly. You can never seem to line things up or put the "pencil" down where you want. It may be good for tracing, although I have never tried.

I do like alot of airbrushing in photoshop. And its hard to keep your mouse steady when doing little details. But you say that it doesnt always line up on screen right? That sucks.

I have a Wacom Graphite 4x6 tablet. It is small as heck, but it gets the job done. I would love one of those huge ones, but they are like $700+. I spent about $100 for mine about 2 years ago. You can find some of cheaper tablets out there, but you do get what you pay for. I had one before this called "Pablo" that completly sucked. The pen was wired to the tablet and there was hardly any pressure sentivity.

If you want something just to play around with, Get a Wacom Graphite2. They will run around $100. I use mine just about everday for graphic design in Adobe Ilustrator 9.

If you guys can find a deal on a larger tablet, I'd like to know about it. We bought the ArtPad II quite a few years ago. If you really want to draw or paint, Painter is the software you want. Thoroughly compatible with Photoshop and takes full advantage of a pressure sensitive tablet. Now, where to get a hot deal on a big one? :(
