I don't know about you, but my wife would have a lot better success plugging in (an already attached) cable, then she will going through the gyrations to get bluetooth rolling:
  1. Open the Bluetooth application (already in startup directory)
  2. Click "Search for devices..."
  3. Wade through phone's menus to Connection, Bluetooth link, Setup, Find Me
  4. Click on device listed in Bluetooth application
  5. Open Mobile phone tools...
The other way, you just plug in the cable, which is already attched to her PC, then start Mobile Phone Tools!

My bluetooth dongle was somewhat defective, but my earlier device worked beautifully. Tranferring a picture to/from my SE T616 was just a matter of dragging and dropping through the My Bluetooth Places (?)

I've only transferred small pictures and ringtones, so the speed has never bothered me. My blackberry only has neutered bluetooth now, so no more file transfers :-(

That would be one tune every couple minutes, so for an album, it would take around twenty minutes... suit yourself.

Just talked to my son, and he said with his Powerbook, once a device is paired, he can call it up right away. But, he said the transfer rate doesn't seem to be much better.

Just powered my wife's PC down, then back up. Started the Bluetooth application and the two phones listed before it was shut down, are no longer listed. I click search for devices, and it finds none. I'd have to tell each phone to "Find Me", before it could list them. I haven't read much of the documentation, but I don't know if it's worth my while anyway.

Ah hah! I can add devices from a history list. That's a help!
