Anybody test a 800fsb CPU in an IT7MAX2

Got this old motherboard sitting around. Now that my finances are looking good after a long slump, I thought to give this thing new life for the purposes of crunching for the TeAm. It has the latest BIOS and was a proven OC'er in it's time to well surpass 200fsb.

Alas, 533 FSB CPU's are generally pricier since I am looking for HT (3.06)

So if anybody knows the answer, just reply here 🙂

Offically it does not support 800FSB, it is only a 845E chipset. But back when people discovered the vastness of P4m's high FSB capabilities in a desktop board, people got this board to 225fsb and higher, which was most likely a memory problem back then. It does not divide the memory bus like newer boards. Instead it multiplies it with the lowest ratio being 1:1.

However I could swear the 845E chipset does not support HT... I thought it was the 845PE. But after looking here, it makes me think I was mistaken after seeing BIOS version CP.

Anybody care to elaborate?

Unless it says it supports 800MHz FSB, a P4C will probably not work. That has been my experiance at least. I would keep looking for a 3.06 if I were you.
