What in the hell kind of RAM is this? Crucial blows unless you need guaranteed compatability with a certain prefab system.

I got Corsair ValueSelect 512mb for $83 - and it specs out higher than Crucial's crap.

careful

crucial is number one in stability not only compatibility

I would always choose crucial for a business machine (this coming from a person running 2-2-2-5 timings right now)

Corsair's quality is right up there with Crucial. Also a lifetime warranty.

Agreed, Crucial will ALWAYS get my business. Warranty, stability, and consistency are what it is all about. Crucial may not spec as high as others, but what is that good for? .000000000000002 sec in Photochop?, .7fps in BF1942?

IMHO it ain't worth it

just my .02

I use Infineon in office-duty machines at school and XMS in the video editing machines. The only stability issue I've ever had with either was the fact that idiots keep stealing the el-cheapo Infineon. (The editing machines are padlocked shut)

Look at the price on the 3.4 GHz Prescott. I think I am going to throw up.
No sh!t! $1159!! DAMN! But you'll notice it has 2MB of cache too.

Is anyone else eyeing the 2.8GHz 533MHz FSB Prescott for $189?! Hmmmm, I wonder if it will hit 3.4GHz (800MHz FSB). That would be an AWEOME SUPER FIRE deal for $189! Can't wait 'til Monday.

I still feel like throwing up from that price. Once we see performance figures, then maybe the nausea will go away.

Yes you are right. WTF, is the right response.

It looks like they mislabled an EE as a Prescott. The 3.4 Prescott will be 1M L3 just like the rest, not 2M.

Yep. Axiontech has the 3.4/ 1Mb for $492 so it must be a misprint unless there is going to be a Prescott EE.
