Anybody see that new sci fi movie "Sunshine"

I was very disappointed. Some of the visuals were good but the acting was horrible (except for Cillian Murphy). The less said about the plot and characters the better.

I liked it.

I think the last 1/3 of the movie is a critique on religion/fanaticism struggling with reason and science.

One of the best movies I've seen awhile. I know some people don't get the end part, but to each their own.

I get it, I just don't like it.

Pretty good overall. Thought it would've been better, as once I read about it I was pretty pumped when I started watching it. And agreed, I thought it wasn't very good towards the end.

I liked it until shit started getting weird. It's like the writers wrote themselves into a hole and didn't know how to get out.

First 2/3 was pretty good. Then it became an outerspace slasher film.

Most concise/accurate assessment there can be for this movie. It's not "new" either, it just recently came out on DVD, so yeah..

It is too new!! I was going to drive my new car to rent it, but Ralph Nader said my gas tank might explode if I get rear ended on the way.
All joking aside, I agree with most people who've seen it. Great movie until until the end...

I thought it was pretty good, but the ending wasn't the greatest. I also thought it could have used some build up at the beginning. As it is, it just plops you right into the middle of the mission and tries to fill you in from there. It doesn't really do a good job at making the mission seem important. We never even see earth or have a chance to empathize with the situation there until the very end.

Boring. I liked Resident Evil - Extinction better. Of my most recent rentals Shoot 'Em Up was a riot. Death Sentence was Ok.

The premise alone made me stay away. Honestly, I'm surprised people aren't comparing this to The Core. What a bunch of shit that movie was.

Wasted potential. The first 2/3 was amazing and set the film up for a great finish but alas... only bitter disappointment
