Don't try to pawn LOTGD off as LORD. That game has way too many crazy things enabled and it's nothing like the original. Stick with the original

I searched for stud wars BBS game as I was reminiscing about the old Oakland, California BBS days pre-AOL and Prodigy. I found the gentleman's thread "anyone remember BBS..."

I am even more proud to see the posts just below from another player who was probably a teenager like me racking up the household phone bill playing BBS games on a 28.8k (24.4k?) modems downloading one porn pic a night!

The best BBS I can remember was "FUBAR" of Oakland. Anyone remember it?

My game name was "Shaft." I would type a verse to the movie theme song everytime I disconnected and had to wait through another day of high school to rush home and dial-up. I found Pimpwars, any know of an online or windows version of Studs?

I loved BRE. We had an inter-BBS league and I remember sending my forces out and a week later the report would come back how they did. I ran a very lean setup that made it appear I was weak when I was not.

Extillus (spelling) had a fun error where you could do negative transactions to get unlimited funds.

LORD side games could also be poorly implemented and have interesting side effects.
