Anybody play Mario Aces tennis?

I tried the demo when it was first coming out, so I probably don't have all of the info you're looking for. Still, it was fun for a little while but I already kind of got tired of the mechanics after playing for just a few days. From what people have said online it's kind of an unfinished game that's light on content for the price. I'm planning on waiting until it's under $30 or so

I had it for 3 days and sold it.

I really liked the mechanics but I have no one locally to play it with. Online was lag plagued so that was unplayable to me too.

The single player game was pretty terrible. It starts out like too easy, then you hit 1 match and it just gets stupid hard with AI that isn't smart or anything, it's just cheap and not fun. Like the AI can "cheat" and do stuff that you can't do, and it just isn't fun sometimes. There are matches where you are playing tennis and you have little robot Bowsers that are running across and blow up right as you're about to hit the ball, and you miss it. There's just a lot of stupid stuff like that.

Also, once you hit this half way mark where the AI gets stupid, you aren't really trying to win by playing good tennis. You are trying to win by just breaking the opponents racket and KO'ing them.

I got to the final match, and without spoiling it, let's just say the first 1/2 of it is a complete joke and super easy, then the second half was actually really fun and it was smart AI finally. But I lost the match and never played it again because having to do the first 1/2 again is just dumb and I knew I was getting rid of it, so if I unlocked anything, I just didn't care.

Keep in mind I got to the final boss of the entire game in 3 sittings. The single player is super short and pretty repetitive. The progression system is also a joke. You level up and get new rackets, but new rackets make old ones pointless.

The game was CLEARLY rushed out the door and missing so much basic stuff. I mean there isn't even an option to play a 6 game set, or a 5 set game. You also can't even choose the level playing online. Just really QOL type stuff like that was missing. It may be patched in now but I wouldn't be able to tell you since I got rid of it.
