Its the Sis651 bases Shuttle XPC. Can anyone point me to a S478 based miniPC in that class? I need to keep the cost down.

A P4 1.5Ghz just came into my possession and I was thinking of building an XPC around it for my grandma to send email.

Check out Tom's Hardware, Tech Report, and SFFTech for reviews on the SS51G. SFFTech also has excellent coverage of (what else?) SFF systems, so you can find info and reviews on other systems in that class.

BTW, if you don't already know, the SS51G is currently on sale for $180 at places like Newegg and Googlegear.

I popped this same question over at Sudhian, got a much better response there. :p

The SS51G seems to be the most stable of the XPCs out there. :)

I have an SS51G, with a Celeron 2.0a @ 2660mhz...nice little box.

For a granny PC..might want to check out the FIC barbones on Newegg.com...like $179 and all it needs it a CDRom, hard drive and memory (PC133).
I built one for a replacement PC for my buddy...he loves it
