Anybody no where to get the spring loaded clips to fasten chipset coolers?

I had to rob two from a working video card that I wasn't using to reattach a northbridge heatsink. I can't find them online.

They are just the plastic pin that pushes through the heatsink and then the board and the springs on them provide even pressure. Anybody have an idea where to get them?

Man, I've looked high and low and can't find them. The northbridge fan went out on a MSI Neo4 Platinum and one these was installed in it's place. It's way too high and gets in the way of the 6800GT. I had to put the fanless stock heatsink back on, but that's making me worry that the northbridge is getting to hot.

I think I'm just going to get a replacement cooler. I was looking at this one, but I can't find out if the mounting holes will line up with the MB. This is pissing me off.

Anybody know what the exact measurement is on the spacing of the mounting holes for the Neo4 northbridge?

How about something like this?

Works great, got a good rep, cheap, low profile, tapes on, yada, yada... 😉

How about this?

Kinda sounds like what you're 'talking' about too.

Buy the kit for the pins, and use the HS for a paperweight... 😀

Yeah, I'd like to know this as well. 😛
I don't know EXACTLY what you guys are looking for, but is it something like these?

That's not it. I saw that. These things are way more simple. The heatsink you linked above would be too high, ny 6800GT would hit it.

I'm just gonna buy another cooler and put on the MB and take the pins I used back.

That's the pins, but the HS is too high. Refer to my above post about getting a new one.

I don't know if we have the exact same motherboard dead 3ye but i have an MSI neo4 SLI platinum, socket 939 . the northbridge is placed right next to the first PCI-E slot. Well, i've had issues with cooling that thing from day 1. the original made noise becaude one the fan blades would come in contact with the side of the whole fan enclosure. the evercool you are looking at DOES NOT FIT. i repeat DOES NOT FIT. i tried it. took it apart, what a waste. i am currently using this:

http://www.xoxide.com/iceberq.html

it fits, its not a perfect fit though and one of the pushpins that is holding it down is holding it down at a slight angle but it works and mine has been like that for over a year now.

the problem with this cooler is that it has a two wire power connector so you can't monitor the fan speed.

For me the perfect solution would be to get another of those MSI cooler that came with the motherboard. if you find one let me know. thanks.

i just went over to the MSI website and if you have the neo4 platinum motherboard (non SLI) it seems that the fans are not the same as the one on my motherboard. it seems that the fan on the neo4 platinum looks very similar to the evercool you found. maybe it would work after all. but if the spacing of the holes are the same as on my motherboard it will definitely not work.
