Home of Foster Farms Actually Merced is the Gateway to Yosemite and Outer hell in the summer. I'm not saying it doesn't suck because it does. Just not as bad a Molesto or Fresneck.

I don't live in or near Fresno, but I spend a lot of weekends in Madera, CA, racing. Going to be there this Saturday actually. Too hot during the summer in that area for me. I'm glad it's cooled off a bit lately, because during late July and early August it was like 108 when we were racing there. Way too hot for someone used to Bay Area weather.

I used to live in Fresno but grew up in Porterville, 90 miles south. Porterville: the appendix of California! I think, just about a useful as an appendix as well. But how many people would even know about Fresno if it wasn't for the university???

I'm in Clovis, which is basically part of Fresno... I'm out near Clovis Community Hospital near Armstrong and Alluvial.

Yes, Fresno is always being dissed in the movies! In Karate Kid 2, Ralph Maccio was a "refugee from Fresno" when his mom moved there and he stayed and moved in with Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita). Ask me another! :-D
