Great show.

Just wondering if anyone knows what that hip hop/rap tune is they use to fade the show in and out. It's kinda catchy.

Thanks.

they can be complete assholes sometimes for absolutely no reason at all, other than that they're ok.

Yes, I agree.

But considering the kind of people that they talk/deal with day in and day out i'm not surprised.

I mean, after they hear the scenario from a caller (usually a young-ish woman) who has a kid or two they will ask right off the bat -

Junior College?

I have to laugh.

The show reminds me that no matter how messed up my life seems at a given moment, it's nothing compared to how screwed up those people who call are.

Would you be referring to Missy Eliot's Gossip Folks?

It's called Love Line. Singular, not plural.

Adam is funny, but he acts pretty jaded at times. Sometimes he's a downright asshole.

I thought the show got cancelled or at least the MTV version did cause they couldn't be explicit about some of the problems.

i guess i'll get the thread back on track :D...

they change the music to go in and out for each break... it's always random but usually new songs that just recently came out.. thought i'm not an expert at the show or anything.. just what i've noticed

Where's your dad? Did someone abuse you? Neglected? What happened when you were young? :D

Yes, my father left us when I was 13 years old.

I've been smoking weed since then and have developed a distrust of commitment and I lack all common sense which affects all the relationships that I get into.

I work in construction and have 3 kids from different mothers.

I didn't finish Junior College ... but what the hey - education isn't important.

:D

About the only thing that gets grating is when Carolla gets on his rants - while funny once in awhile - becomes tiresome and predictable. That's about the only time that I turn the channel. It's still a great radio show to listen to while i'm goofing off the comp.

ClueLis, thanks for the tip btw.

There used to be a 24/7 streaming loveline station which shut down. I'd love to find another one.

I listened tonight and David Alan Grier was on, he's funny as hell and a total nutcase. They also played this Dr. Drew crank-yankers call which I need to find a clip of.

Well, I know one because it's a local station around my parts. I'm going to link it for ya ... but if it goes under because of too much exposure i'm gonna be pissed! There was some talk about the lack of Love Line on the 'Net because of some streaming audio/trademark issues.

In any case, the link is

Mojo Radio AM 730
