"It breaks my heart to see you do this." Pathetic. Why do people think that you can negotiate and discuss with a child who's obviously had no discipline? I see my neighbour do this, which explains the fact she has 0% control over her 2 and 5 year olds. These people dealing with that kid are pathetic. Two of them trying to talk to her like she's an adult, which she clearly is not. I think the kid needed a drop kick to the skull, but handcuffing her was pathetic. Fvcking liberals :)

"She gave the child several options to choose from, on different occasions." God, what a joke.

more amazing seeing the little brat punching and kicking her teacher repeatedly. it was really sad that the teacher couldn't restrain her. and by that i mean she probably isn't allowed. That adult would have no trouble handling that child, if she wasn't afraid of getting sued.

When the girl kicked the teacher the teacher should have kicked her through a desk and said "Quid pro quo."

The entire pansification lack of discipline approach that people take with children. "back in my day" when you were a brat you got sent to your room or smacked. People these days think toddlers give a sh*t about what the adult thinks, but they don't unless you've earned their respect and made it clear that certain unacceptable behaviour has immediate consequences.

As soon as that kid swung at me like she did in the office, I would have taken off my belt and hog-tied her. Makes private schooling look like it's well worth the money, right Skoorb?

She'll never do that again.

Though handcuffs were over the top. The school should have called her parents not the cops.

I bet she will. She's five, and I bet has never had much discipline. She's not an adult who learns from something like this (though many don't). Children are far more prone to impulsivity than adults, which is why you can't always discuss something with them like they are an adult, even though those useless daycare workers think you can.

The fact is, if the police show up and do nothing, it only perpetuates the child's idea that she can get away with whatever she wants to do. If they handcuff her, they get sued.

They did call her mother, and she was "unable to come to the school, though she gave no reason as to why."

Good point - caught between a rock and a hard place. If I were a cop, I would probably have taken her for a ride in my cruiser with no handcuffs. Scared her a little bit.

Skorb..

Back in my dad's day his father would punch him in the face if he misbehaved. I guess that should be accepted as well! Why not!! Because it happened it doesn't mean that an individual should ever lay their hands on a child. We live in a civilized society now. This isn't the 50's. Also, what if the child was classified with a behavioral disorder? Now the cops have violated her IEP and have violated the Americans w/ Disabilities Act! I smell lawsuit!

If it was my child and god forbid if anyone even laid a hand on him or her I'd take a baseball bat to their skull.

just my opinion.

Liberals seak to remove discipline and "wrong" behavior from this country. (Nothing can be called "wrong" because there is no "right vs. wrong".) Parents should be sued if they spank their children, etc. Out-of-control hellions like this girl are the result of the most progressive liberal trends.

I agree with Skoorb. Handcuffs were not appropriate. What she needed was a good ass-whoopin to the BEhind.
