Anybody know what happened to VisionTek?

For at least the last 10 days (that was the first time I tried), VisionTek's website (including all subdomains and deep pages for which I could find links) has been, well, not Visiontek. Instead it's "vDeck" welcoming me to my future website and suggesting that I replace "this index.html" with my "own index.html."

VisionTek.de is also gone (my German is rough but it basically says that there is "no website configured at this address").

I've been searching google up and down for deets: did they go under or something? I can't find a press release, SEC filing, or forum post that would suggest as much.

Reason for dilemma: not a fanboy; I'm thinking about buying their ATI Theater 550 Pro card that comes with Beyond TV. Great deal for $85 ('egg). But if there is no more VisionTek, then I certainly don't want to buy a VisionTek card! Got stuck with an unsupported Voodoo5, and once is enough, thank you very much! 🙂

They went under a while ago and then came back. Now (i believe) they only do ATi cards. Unless they went under again, they're just having website issues.

Well, yeah, they filed Chapter 11, but that was back in 2002-2003. And they are only doing ATI cards. But as of Sept. 19 (the last date for which I can find data), they were signed on as one of ATI's partners for the X800 GTO.

Except that as of Sept. 19, they had no website.

What kind of site problem shuts down the .com and .de domains of a pretty significant technology manufacturer for 10+ days? Whois says that the domains are still registered to them...
