anybody know of a software is like a personal dictionary...?

It should allow you to enter your own words and corresponding description. When you look up a word it will look it up as you type in the beginning letters of the word you are looking for. In other words as you type in the beginning letters of a word it will give you a list of words and then narrow it down by matching the beginning letters against the words in the list. It can be a very simple program but it should be able to run on win XP. If it also allows you to also search in a pre-made dictionay then that would be a plus. Of course another nice plus is if its free.
 
well, my father wants to learn some more english words and instead of writing them down and look them up on paper he likes to have a program that simplify that for him.
 
the primary purpose is to use it to build up your own vocabulary so its essential that it allows you to create and search within your own word list.
