Anybody know of a program which makes a list of all the installed software in the PC?

If you want additional information (like license keys), a great PC software and hardware inventory program is SIW (System Information for Windows), at http://gtopala.com. It's free for non-commercial purposes.
 
Belarc Advisor is the standard answer on the forums. Makes an excellent build sheet for doing fresh reinstalls, especially because it makes it so easy to reconstitute the driver versions.
 
I agree ... Belarc is very good as is Everest Home edition .. Both can be found on majorgeeks.com and other sites.
 
Belarc Advisor does it all and is free. I use it with Vista Ultimate.
