Anybody know/like Vienna Teng?

I saw her play when she came to Tucson, she's pretty, talented, and entertaining... Go see her show!

Never heard of her till now. :\

But I like these in bulk, alternator size. :hmm:

Get beaten and emotionally abused for years by your mother, have the first girl you're with cheat on you and the woman you marry only be with you to get children and tell me men are cruel. People are cruel, not just the men.

First YouTube comment.

Sounds like some emo beyotch.

I started listening to her after she did a live radio performance for KMTT (Seattle) which was quite good. I haven't seen her live but based on that I'd say it's worth going.

Sounds like some emo beyotch.
Nope, she's closer to A Fine Frenzy or Loreena McKennit (mood not Celtic trappings) than to Alannis or Tori Amos.

went to high school with her, never heard her music but I have a coworker who loves her and went to a show in SF and raved about it

Went to the show last night.

WOW!

Seriously, amazing. I knew she was going to be amazing from listening to her, but I had no idea Alex Wong was going to blow me away like he did. That guy is about four talented musicians in one supercharged dude.

The opener, Sarah Watkins, was also fun and enjoyable. It's not often you get a blend of back mountain fiddle playing with hippie folk vibes.

The venue was pretty cool, if not the most comfortable seats. Probably about 100 person capacity. Very intimate. Alcohol and healthy bar food within arms reach was nice too.

I'm so glad I got to see her before she starts grad school. She still has a dozen or so dates left on this tour, so if anyone has the chance GO SEE HER before it's too late.
