Anybody know how to setup PS2 network adapter with DSL?

Especially for those of us who have SBC dsl and use PPP protocol. There must be some way to set up your computer as a router...

get a second NIC in your computer, and turn on ICS.

what OS are you using? It really shouldnt be to hard, put in another network card, go to the network control panel, and enable internet connection sharing on the first network card. I'm not exactly positive this will work with the PS2 though. Has anyone else had any experience connecting to the PS2 nework from behind a router?


this is one of those problems i had never even though of before (PPPoE dsl and PS2 networking) I guess i lucked out with my DSL becuase its normal.

When you mention PPP, is it PPPoE? ( you use WinPOET or an equivilant to connect, etc...)

Yup, sorry, I meant PPPoE. I'm using XP and I'd rather use a hub instead of second NIC.

Well... I have to suggest a PPPoE compatible router... like the Netgear RT314.... although I agree that ICS is the inexpensive option.... When I configured ICS I kept having "issues" (probably of my own making)... the router is just the more simple "pluggable" solution IMHO
