Anybody know anything about video cards getting old and freezing mice and keyboards?

Every half an hour or so they both freeze, the system continues to run which is weird. When I uninstalled drivers for the card I haven't had the problem, although I would like to use my monitor at higher than 640x480 and 16 colors. :D:)

How do you know that it "continues to run"?????
Do you have a CD playing? It prob. bypasses the system.

You may have a sticky key on the keyboard, or button on the mouse. Usually though, the computer will beep at you.

Trying plugging in a different keyboard and mouse - see what that produces.

My only other suggestion is to 're-seat' all of your cards, maybe even remove them first and use a pencil eraser on the edge connectors, then wipe clean with alchohol. (soft eraser only!)

When I was playing an online-only game I continued to see people do stuff around me, with them asking me whats wrong. :D

edit: and thanks for the other suggestion! I'll try that.
