Anybody know anything about machine screws? What is a "binder" machine screw vs a standard?

So there's no functional difference in thread pitch or anything like that, it's strictly the head? Doesn't seem that different from a pan head...

4th item down - Binding Head

Head Styles

Today it is considered obsolete, replaced by modern 'Pan Head' (Item # 1)

It's only the clamping characteristic of the head design where it mates to a surface.

Maybe that would explain why people selling "binder" don't have metric sizes.

Oh and holy crap google is fast, I just searched for "m3 binder nylon machine screw" and my thread was the top result.

I just bought a bunch of smaller nylon stuff for an Abit IP35-Pro heat pipe mod, from Amazon seller Small Parts. They delivered in about 7 days, didn't require an account, and it was quality stuff.
