Anybody here used Polycom stuff?

Polycom in general is fantastic w/ hardware. We use them for standard phones and video conferencing. Top notch quality throughout.

Also note that unlike 99% of phones Polycom is normally full duplex audio, so they sound very clear.

Not that it makes any difference but Telecom is what I do for a living, I have seen every piece of $hit on the market and Polycom is the tops.

Polycom > ALL

They are the PC Power and Cooling of Video and Tele Conferencing. 😉

So, you saying the hardware is more integral than the software?

As far as telephony goes it works like this.

Good software is worthless without good hardware
Good hardware can overcome most of the problems encompassed in mediocre software

You don't necessarily need to use Polycom's software, thier hardware works with most software on the market due to the fact they make the best hardware and everyone has to work well with their hardware.

Their software is fairly good, but the hardware is key.
