I have an item posted for sale on craigslist. I got an email from a guy offering to buy the item using Bidpay. I have never heard of bidpay before. He said they hand deliver his payment to me in the form of cash. I checked out the Bidpay, and it seems to say that you have to be registered with them to receive payment and that it can only be deposited directly into a bank account.

I am just slightly unsure of the transaction. The buyer offered me more then my asking price. Said I can wait till I get payment and then he will email me a shipping label, so I don't even have to pay shipping. It all just seems a little too good to be true. I don't want to get ripped off, so I was just wondering if anyone had done a deal like this before using Bidpay.

Bidpay was kinda the alternative payment on ebay for some sellers. But it kinda died down.

I had an account but I forgot the specific differences. Bidpay can probably send you a check?

Are you answering my question with a question, lol. This seller said the payment will be in the form of cash. But I don't see anywhere on the bidpay website that says they send cash or check.

It all sounds like it is done through account transfers.
