When I'm not suffering from allergy related stuffiness, I can sing. I'm an alto but I can sing soprano with enough practice if necessary.

I was in the church choir for years and I did several solos during the years that I was in chorus in school.

My mom sang in college so I guess it was just natural... I've been singing since I was a toddler. I've done some community theatre but I gave it up a long, long time ago.

I am much more comfortable behind the scenes than in the spotlight. I was never cut out for the cut-throat world of entertainment.

I still sing to my kids, though. 🙂

I can hold my own, I sing tenor most of the time but I'm really baritone. My tone and range are good but I think I need to work over my pronounciation (spelling?)
 
Heck yea, I beez tha next Justin Timberlake.....yea......that's it.....🙂 Actually, I used to be really good when i was younger. I was in all district in 6th grade or something like that. But then I dropped out of chorus in 7th grade, and haven't been in it since, so I'm really, really unpracticed....if I went to a vocal teacher, I'd probably be pretty good though.

Well, I was 9 years old and the only kid singing in the choir at St Mary's. It was a mother/daughter thing... she sang constantly, so I did, too.****I idolized Karen Carpenter so I styled my voice after hers. I can do a decent imitation, but I can't sustain it perfectly for very long.

All my kids are musically inclined to some degree (I have a piano that I let them explore from the time they can reach the keys) but my middle child is exceptional. A family friend is a well-known voice teacher (she trained Nick Carter from The Backstreet Boys, among others) who I will probably send her to in a few years. She has been composing her own songs (she writes them down on staff paper) since she was 3 or 4.***When she was 2 years old, I was strolling her and she was singing The Lover's Concerto and this lady stopped me and said, My God, she's going to be famous one day!

I'm really not surprised... on my side, my mother is very talented musically, and on Mr Isla's his dad is a classical musician (bassoon) and the executive director of a very large orchestra.

Generally speaking, I think the earlier a kid starts, the better, but it's never too late if you love music.
 
I've been singing since I can remember. When I was about 7 or 8 I would sing in church. Then, I was in choirs and stuff in school. About 3 years ago I went to a local recording studio with 5 other people to sing back up for a man that visited our church. My dream is to make my own album some day. I would preferrably make the album with someone so we could harmonize. (Like Isla, I'm an alto but I can sing soprano if needed.)
 
I'm really good at whistling. I can whistle non-stop (literally for hours dead on end, I'm not telling you the secret of breathing while whistling 🙂). Sometimes my cheeks get tired, though.
 
I think I sing well... the only thing that I've discovered about myself while singing is that I'm more of a Baritone rather than a tenor or bass... so I can't go really low and I can't go really high.... kinda bites. I noticed while singing along with the radio, a couple people at work told me that I have a good voice.
 
I think that I'm with hpkeeper on this one. I sing baritone in chorus (I'm in 10th grade in HS), which sucks, 'cause I can't go really high or really low...

My voice decides what it is going to do when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes I can go lower than any of the teachers at school (which is a very low bass). Other times, I can just sing tenor perfectly well. I can't figure out what I'm doing most of the time. Scary that I think that, because most of the people that have heard me sing compliment my singing like none other. (Actually rather annoys me...but that's another story😱)

Also, for no apparent reason, I feel like sharing that I'm the substitute choir director at our church.
 
I am the Jesuit choir's only saving grace and won 2nd place in a school karoeke contest (that's only because I was doing &quot;Play that Funky Boogie, the other guy went with Soul Man, much easier in comparision).
 
when you saw 'sing' do you mean singing in the bathroom sing or karaoke or in a choir?

i've never dung in a choir, but i love music (played multiple instruments) and love to sing as well. karaoke is fun too with my friends. 🙂 i think i'm ok, sub average, but my friends think i'm good *shrug*.
