I bought the Mac 10GB in March - my wife refused to even look at it for 2 months. Then I made the mistake of insisting she use it for a few daysI haven't seen my dear iPod ever since - she won't let me anywhere near it
If you guys can afford it, by all means go for it! This is the best $227 I've ever spent (took a lot of amazon.com coupons, gc's and old comp. part sales to get to that price
) The sound quality would probably not satisfy audiophiles but it is good enough for me. I find my car to be the best place to use the iPod (with a cassette adapter). With a 10GB iPod you have 2100+ songs literally in your pocket....no way you can beat that! BTW, I use Xplay. ephpod is better in some ways, but you need to buy MacOpener for about $40 to use that. Personally, I feel xplay is more stable and I can edit the id tags for multiple songs easily.
Why are you using a Cassette adapter?? You need to be uber geeky and get an iRock. It plugs into the headphone jack and plays the audio through the radio.:Q
