Anybody have any idea how/where to sell....

I've come upon 1.5 million cardboard cans that didn't meet a company's specifications. They plan on simply throwing them all away in a landfill. I'd guess somewhere someone might be able to make use of them, and since we essentially just have them, they'd be sold very cheap.

A cardboard can is basically the types of cans peanuts would arrive in, for reference.

Perhaps somebody at ATOT has some knowledge of this market?

Cut the tin bottoms off and bring them to a scrap metal yard and get some beer money.

Recycle the cardboard.

Already some good ideas! Awesome. The preferable option would be to wholesale to someone, but so far viable options for sure.

Where the hell are you storing 1.5 million cardboard cans?

Or transporting them! Holy hell the logistics sound like a nightmare, but a fun project.

They were already trucked here by the company who owns them. They settled their lawsuit over them and are just planning on throwing them away. If I could find a way to sell them, small profit 1.5 million times turns out nice.

Was not sure if there was more to it or not. 🙂

Use them as tokens for a huge raffle. $1 per can, plus shipping. Winner gets $500,000. You get $1 million.

blog it and be snarky. act attentionwhorish. hire some dumb chick to con cam-watching losers into thinking they might get laid. Be creative.

Would that be legal? Haha, if so, that would be awesome. They are coded, so one could be the winning code🙂

Funny idea... pulling it off.... probably not so easy.

Make it a non profit corp. Give yourself a 10% salary, give the company 20% for the cylinders, spend 10% on advertising. If you can raise find a way to secure $500k of insurance to ensure you sell enough cylinders...and give the rest to charity. You'll still be giving like half a million dollars to a children's hospital or something, and you make bank. 🙂

You'd probably have to fill out paperwork and register as a lottery. might be illegal in a state with a lottery commission. dunno. good question. A little research would answer the question pretty quickly though.

Yeah, no kidding, right? One company claims they aren't up to spec, the other says they are. I don't know how the settlement went, but.... they don't care about them any more either way.

Buy 'em yourself.

Print 1.5 million "Obama! Yes We Cans!" stickers.

Get the domain name and sell 'em!

Profit?

Gringles Potato Chips

No, no, it was Pringles Potato Chimps. They simply didn't go for that monkey business. In fact, they went Ape! 😛

They are already "bought." They don't want them, we are getting them at no cost, except the warehouse space they are taking up.

And, as terrible as I'd feel doing something like that, it would probably work.
