Anybody have an AEM Cold Air Intake on their car?

I was thinking about getting one for my '98 Accord Coupe V6... partially because they improve horsepower from 3-5hp, but mainly because I heard they improve fuel efficiency by 4-6mpg. That's pretty significant. At any rate, anybody have one? If so, what's your opinion, and was it easy to install?

Thanks.

If you do enough digging you will find that those air filters do nothing but make your car louder (considerably, especially in the winter) and really add no noticeable HP or MPG. I'm a car nut with a lot of car nut & mechanic friends who have tried many different kinds only to find they don't do squat.

Hmm... I'm not one to argue with a self-proclaimed "car nut" because I'm a car ignoramus myself... but alot of guys on a car message board that I frequent have posted dyno results to back up their claims of +3-5hp... and have personally testified to increase in mpg... besides, IMO, an increase is mpg is very reasonable: increase the efficiecy of the engine... what do you expect?

But I do appreciate your opinion Ranger and will keep that in mind.

I know a couple guys with them. Not sure about the mileage thing, although I do hear a lot of guys claiming the same things as you say.
As with most cold air intakes, it causes your car to make an odd droning sound at high speeds.

yeah, i like the feeling/sound of it!
my Mits is black in/out and the cold air deal
makes it sound MORE and MORE like a bad boy's car!
must be a midlife crisis sort of thing for me though!
