Anybody have a Suzuki Hayabusa?

Anyone have one of these bikes? What do you think of them, other than the fact they are insanely fast? Speed is great and all, but not if they have mechanical problems, etc.

I think WinstonSmith has one.

I wonder if he still has it? He doesn't seem to post any threads about it anymore.

Remember "I ate a duck today?"

That's because he's not an attention whore about his bike.

Have you even been on a bike before? Do you know how to ride a bike?

If you would like to die and ruin the bike, the sure, go ahead and get one.

I'm not worried, I'm getting training wheels with it ;-)

My friend had a good idea for a shirt to go with this bike:

Some fear - cause if you're not scared just a little, you ain't going fast enough!

'77 GS750. I think the Hayabusa does in first gear what that bike does in all 5.

Wow, big jump. Thats like me jumping from my ninja 250 to a gixer1000. HAHA. Do you think you're ready for the 'busa?

I don't know if you're ever ready for a busa.... but it's got 500 miles (2003 model), and the guy is getting shipped to Iraq and trying to get rid of it quickly. If it's too much, I can sell it and maybe make something off it.

Suzuki is an ok brand,
I had a Suzuki bike in 1979-1982

It had a 6 speed tranny, and had had the gearing changed once, and 5th,and 6th gear
were useless. LOL.It was way underpowered for the gearing. 🙁

It was a reliable bike.🙂

At $4k that bike is way undervalued. Buying and selling for a profit is definitely a good option, considering spring is here and it's motorcycle-buying season.

As far as riding one...heavy motorcycles are difficult to handle, and the Hayabusa is one of the heaviest sport bikes you can buy. I don't think you'll enjoy it as much as a smaller bike.
